The Nook

Our Family Hotel

The Great Malvern Hotel has been looked after by the Sutton family since 1999. The building has been renovated consistently during this time; however now, finally we feel that we have achieved the product that we can be completely proud of. We are not bling or gastro or trendy or aspirational. We offer quality accommodation, food & drink, served by people who want to serve you in a warm, safe and caring environment. We have massively sought not to be GREY and so a chatty (risqué) and friendly stay is what we hope you experience. We are proud that the people of Malvern use the bar and dining area as much as residents and feel that adds to the family non corporate atmosphere.

Stay here whenever i return. Great location, clean and comfortable as you'd expect but its the little touches that set it apart... like the umbrella in the wardrobe and bottle of water by the bedside. You will not need to declare your room number at breakfast, you will however be required to engage in conversation. The return of the warm greeting and some witty banter from the staff. Relaxing breakfast, a paper to read and a second pot of tea or coffee, or more toast. Excellent.

We had a table for four for an evening meal at the "Nook" Great Malvern Hotel. The hake was good, so were the salmon and asparagus tagliatelle, venison in red wine pie and rib- eye steak and chips. We appreciated the way sauces, gravy and salads were served in separate dishes. The portions were generous - we thought twice about deserts. We had a good choice. The lemon meringue would be better with the usual baked meringue - crisp outside and soft and gooey inside. The service was excellent - very friendly, prompt and helpful. Watch out for the unsuspecting step to the WC!

Had a delicious lunch today. The bar is cosy and quirky, with a great selection of beers. Food is a little more interesting than a lot of the other options in Malvern.I was ogling the watercress soup on the next table with its toasted rye bread, and regretted not having a starter. Next time!Service was excellent, very efficient and attentive.

Whilst being an old building it was pleasant well looked after and tastefully decorated. It was exceptionally clean and very comfortable. All members of staff were extremely helpfull and friendly which made our stay special. Food was well prepared , presented and tastefull also reasonably priced, their homemade muesli at breakfast was excellent .
